Volunteers play a vital role at Highland Hospice
The volunteer service has expanded within the Hospice and over the entire Highland area throughout the years to provide a variety of volunteering opportunities. We now have approximately 40 Area Fundraising groups as well as 9 shops (Inverness, Nairn, Forres, Grantown, Fort William, Wick, Thurso, Tain and Alness) and a central distribution store. In all over 650 volunteers gift their time and energy to help provide a free service to those who need it in the Highlands.
There are a wide range of volunteering opportunities for everyone, from those about to retire, to youth and young people and those who work full time.
A volunteer recruited today in the Hospice may find that they are asked to multi task, training to work in a number of different areas. They may work in one of the shops and fundraise in their community or be involved more directly within the Hospice. It is true to say that volunteers always manage to rise to the challenge and have good fun in the process.
Please see the list of roles to find out more or fill in our online application form.
